Two former Douglas High School students appeared in the University of Nevada, Reno, Musical Theatre's production of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." The production opened April 7 at the Laxalt Theatre in downtown Reno.

John Stockton, class of 2004, and 2005 graduate Bryan Jones performed in the concert, jazz and marching bands, choirs and madrigals during their years at Douglas High School.

Stockton performs the part of Mr. Twimble and Jones landed the lead role of J. Pierpont Finch in the musical famous for the song, "I Believe in You."

Jones said he had no previous experience in a musical production.

"This is my very first musical," said Jones. "I heard about it and it sounded fun so my friend John and I auditioned. I was surprised that I got the lead."

Jones said he started as a music education major at UNR and hopes to transfer to another school like New York University where he can record music.

Performances for "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" are 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Laxalt Theatre, 401 W. Second St., Reno.
