- Fire investigators say faulty wiring appears to be the cause of a Feb. 2 car fire that resulted in the death of Douglas County drug dog, Jon-Jon. The county has retained an independent attorney to seek compensation from Ford Motor Co., should it be confirmed the cause of the fire was the result of work done by the company or its subcontractor.
