The Douglas baseball team bounced back from two losses to open the Atwater Easter Tournament to pound Livingston, Calif., 12-1 Wednesday.
Freshman Tyler May struck out three, walked two and combined with Brandon Bernard to throw a one-hitter in five innings. May improved to 4-2 on the year with the win.
Ryan Laing went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Tigers and Phil Mannelly hit a home run.
Mannelly and Niko Saladis had three RBIs a piece while Laing drove in two runs and May and D.J. Brady each drove in one.
Jordan Hadlock doubled and Laing and Saladis each had a triple.
Willie Morgan had a hit as well.
Douglas carried a 4-1 lead into the fifth inning before breaking out eight runs in the bottom of the fifth for the win.
On Tuesday, Douglas dropped an 8-3 decision to host Atwater High School.
Laing, Nate Whalin and May each had a hit and Whalin had Douglas' lone RBI.
Douglas now stands at 16-9 overall and returns to league play April 27 with a 3:30 game at Sierra League-leading Reno.
