The Palmore Brothers continue in the Carson Valley Inn's Cabaret Lounge through Sunday, Melissa Dru appears Tuesday through May 7, The Kid & Nic Show returns May 9-14 and various groups entertain on Monday nights. Carson Valley Inn Cabaret Lounge entertainment is presented with no cover and no minimum.
The Palmore Brothers started when Charles and John Palmore were touring with Bill Pinkney and the original Drifters. John was the musical director, keyboardist and arranger for the original Drifters. Charles is a bassist who was the lead and background vocalist for the original Drifters. Completing the quartet are Dan McGowan on drums and Joey Lester on congas and vocals.
Melissa Dru entertains with top 40, classic rock and pop music. The quartet consists of Melissa Dru on vocals, rhythm guitar and percussion, Mick Hampson on vocals and guitar, Jim Haase on keyboards and vocals and Nathan Rodney on drums and vocals.
The Kid and Nic show is timeless music designed for music lovers of every generation. Jazz, blues, swing, Latin and pop are all represented in this energetic and diverse musical review.
All bands play 45-minute shows at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday.
Upcoming Monday night entertainment in the Cabaret Lounge includes Twice As Nice on May 1, Gary and Lin on May 8 and The Gardners on May 15. Monday night entertainment sets are at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.
Sports action is plentiful at the Carson Valley Inn with four plasma screens and a giant pull-down screen in the Cabaret Lounge plus additional TVs in the casino and in P.J.'s Pub.
