Next week, on Wednesday at the Douglas County Senior Center in Gardnerville will be the monthly "Share A Book" club meeting at the center ceramics room from 10:30-11:30 a.m. The public is invited to join the readers and share book reports. Check out the www.freewebs.com/sharebookclub online and discover the books that the club has already reviewed. This provides a rich and meaningful experience to those bored with the usual entertainment on TV.

On Thursday, the Douglas County Senior Services will be having the Caregiver's Support Group meeting at 2 p.m. at the Senior Center. The guest speaker will be Kim Spaulding from St. Mary's Hospice and Home Care to discuss what programs are available to care givers. All interested people are invited to attend.

A dinner and show bus trip to the El Dorado Casino and Hotel in Reno to see "Balagan" is planned for May 17. The show is a cirque-de-soleil type theatrical circus of music, choreography and comedy. The cost is $32 per person which includes the show, buffet dinner and gratuity. The bus will leave from the senior center at 3 p.m. and return around 10:15 p.m. Interested attendees must sign up at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane in Gardnerville.
