Robert Irvin Kellogg
1953-2006
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Spruce Street and Deseret Drive in Minden for Robert Irvin Kellogg, 53, who died July 31, 2006, at his home in Gardnerville.
Mr. Kellogg was born June 5, 1953, in Washington D.C. to Glenn Irvin and Dortha M. Gillespie. Previously a resident of Mt. View, Calif., he has lived in Gardnerville for 11 years. He worked for Douglas County School District as a carpenter and he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Family members said when Bob's feet hit the floor as a child, he was off and running. He never changed. He liked being busy and active. In his life he enjoyed flying, driving, side-car racing, camping and fishing.
His latest love was his Harley but more than anything he loved his children. He was a skilled craftsman and had been beautifully remodeling his home and always had his tools ready to help both family and friends. His great sense of humor and easy smile will be lovingly missed.
He is survived by his daughter Jenna Kellogg of Gray, Tenn.; son Robert (Bobby) Kellogg of Gardnerville and his sister Karen Kellogg of St. George, Utah.
