On Thursday, the Douglas County Senior Center is having a special barbecue luncheon with a Hawaiian luau theme. Depending upon the weather, it will be held at Lampe Park unless it is too hot, then it will be at the senior center. Entertainment, food, games and prizes are being planned. Seniors are encouraged to dress in Hawaiian attire to celebrate the occasion. Bingo will be held after lunch.

n On Saturday at 8 a.m. seniors will be taking a hiking trip to Winnemuca Lake. Transportation is provided. The hike is a 5-mile roundtrip with a 500-foot elevation gain. The cost is $1.
Call the center to add your name to the list of members going. Hikers are reminded to bring a sack lunch, water and good walking shoes.
