While work continues on the roundabout, residents are taking bets on how long the thing will survive.

The most common complaint we've heard is that the big trucks go right over the top of it. Then there are the usual roundabout shenanigans, like the person who was seen going the wrong way through it.

Since any hope that the roundabout will be removed in the near future is wishful thinking, we'll be happy to supply our readers with a primer on using the traffic circle at Highway 88 and County Road on Wednesday in the hopes of saving some lives and property when school returns.

According to the Nevada Department of Transportation, they're waiting for the overhead lighting to be activated before they lift the traffic restrictions.

Election Day is Tuesday, so be ready for the last big push from candidates today and tomorrow.

Last word is the congressional race between Dean Heller and Sharron Angle is a dead heat. No one knows how the local races are going. The only way to make sure your voice is head is to get to the polls on Tuesday and cast a ballot.

The Weather Service is saying temperatures are going to stay in the high 80s this week and we're inclined to agree. It's supposed to be 89 and partly cloudy today with a 10 percent chance of precipitation in the form of thunderstorms.
