It is the last two weeks of fundraising for Relay For Life and The Record-Courier has an on-going raffle for a basket filled with goodies. Tickets are $1 each. Danny's Ironwood Grill coupon books ($100 value) are also for sale $15 for seniors and $20 for non-seniors. All of the proceeds will go to The American Cancer Society.
Luminaries that are filled with sand and a candle and set out during the evening while Relay For Life is taking place are available at The Record-Courier for $10 each. Luminaries are white paper bags that can be personalized with drawings, inscriptions and photos to honor someone with cancer, who has recovered from cancer or someone who has died of cancer. Also, paper suns and moons that are hung up during Relay For Life are available for a donation of $1 or more.
