As first reported on recordcourier.com Wednesday, Sharron Angle's campaign staff is researching a recount in the District 2 Congressional Race.

They won't be able to do anything until Tuesday, when the last county certifies the election.

The cost of doing a recount is estimated at more than $200,000, which is what Angle has left in campaign funds, according to the Federal Election Commission.

Secretary of State Dean Heller took the congressional seat by 400 votes in Tuesday's election. The position includes all 17 Nevada counties and covers most of the state outside of Las Vegas.

The big yellow biplane will be spraying for mosquitoes between Centerville and Mottsville lanes early Friday morning. Mosquito Control Officer Ron Lynch said it is the only way he can get at a nasty pool of West Nile virus positive mosquitoes.

The spray will kill the mosquitoes and breaks down after a couple of days into inert components.

It's going to be a big weekend for the internal combustion engine in Carson Valley with the annual Main Street Event in Minden and the Antique Tractor Show in Johnson Lane.

The weather will be great with high temperatures in the upper 80s and not much in the way of wind.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms on Saturday. It is still very dry with humidity hovering around 12 percent and a 100 percent chance that vegetation will catch fire.
