Rickey Theodore Anderson
1952-2006
A memorial service was Thursday at the Stewart Community Baptist Church for Rickey Theodore Anderson, 54, who died Aug. 27, 2006, at his Carson City home.
Mr. Anderson was born June 5, 1952, in Mt. Vernon, Wash., to Roland and Alfreda Martin Anderson. He married Donnalee Malone Nov. 15, 1986, and worked as a truck driver and roofer after serving in the Merchant Marines. A 22-year resident of this area, he lived in San Jose before moving to Carson City. He was a member of the Stewart Community Baptist Church; La' Ka' Lel' Be' pow-wow committee, Native American parent board and the Carson defence committee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Gaylean. He is survived by his wife Donnalee Malone-Anderson of Carson City; daughters Roxann Anderson, Crystal Anderson, Kirstie Anderson, Janet Anderson; stepsons Daryl Wayne, Lee Ross and Clint Malone as well as two sisters Kathren Gorman of San Jose, Calif., Susan Runnels of Grand Rapids, Mich., and brother James Anderson of Everett, Wash. He is also survived by six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were in the care of FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City. Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's at FitzHenry's Crematory. Memorial contributions can be made to Jo Ann Nevers, 501 Washoe Street, Carson City, NV, 89703.
