The Ferret Rescue Shelter invites the public to its second annual open house 1-4 p.m. Saturday at 977 Pleasant View Court in Gardnerville. Anyone that has a ferret, wants a ferret or just wants to see the shelter is welcome to attend. Come enjoy hilarious stories, wonderful food and great raffle prizes. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase. This is a fundraiser to help the shelter ferrets and you need not be present to win.
The shelter is also in need of donations in the form of Tide HE detergent, regular bleach, paper towels, N-Bones and Ferretone, any bedding and volunteers. Monetary donations are always greatly appreciated.
