The new season of Chautauqua begins in January. Funded in part by Nevada Humanities, an informational meeting will be 7 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville. The program is looking for students who want to portray Nevada characters as they are the ones most requested to appear in different venues.
Chautauqua is open to children grades fourth through 12th and runs from January to June. Chautauqua meets every other Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
