The Douglas boys' basketball team puts its 3-0 record on the line this weekend in its own tournament, the Carson Valley Classic, starting today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. against Fallon.
It will be the Greenwave's first game of the year while the Tigers have had three game to tune things up.
Also in the tournament are Reed, Manogue, Dayton, Carson, Laguna Creek and defending tourney champ Faith Lutheran.
The Lady Tigers take on Truckee this afternoon at 3 p.m. in the opening round of the North Valleys Classic in north Reno.
Sierra Lutheran's boys' and girls' teams be playing at a four-team tournament in Gerlach and Coleville's boys and girls will be playing in a tournament at Eureka.
The Tigers' wrestling team will look to continue the momentum it gained from a tough win over Damonte Ranch earlier in the week as Douglas travels to the Natumas City Duals in California for the weekend.
