The Daughters of Norway Queen Maud Lodge No. 42 will have a holiday party in Carson City at 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, corner of Saliman and Highway 50.
The event will include a smorgasbord, Santa's visit with the children and dancing and singing around the Christmas tree. An exchange of gifts no more than $10 each will end the evening. Guests are also welcome.
Women are invited to join the lodge that are of Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic heritage or who are married or have been married to a Norwegian, etc.
