Douglas High grad to marry

Cassie Rutherford of Knoxville, Tenn., and Dennis Campbell, of Gardnerville, have announced their engagement and are to be married Jan. 13, in Knoxville, Tenn.

The future bride is the daughter of Mike and Susan Rutherford of Knoxville and Brandy Rutherford, also of Knoxville. She received her bachelor of science degree in psychology at Berry College in Rome, Ga. in 2001 and her masters in health psychology at Appalachian State University in 2003. She is currently employed at Wake Forest University Health Sciences as an oncology counselor with the cancer patient support and psycho-social oncology program.

The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Campbell of Gardnerville and a 1998 graduate of Douglas High School. He received his bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2003. He is currently a medical student at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and will graduate December 2007.
