A 64-year-old man killed in a Thursday afternoon accident on Highway 395 and Stephanie Way was identified as James David Price of Saratoga Springs.

Price and his 59-year-old wife, Ellen, were westbound on Stephanie in a 1993 Buick making a left turn onto the highway at about 2:23 p.m.

Price pulled out into the path of a northbound 1994 Thunderbird driven by 24-year-old Christopher Mcintyre of Carson City.

The Thunderbird struck the driver's side door of the Prices' car, killing the driver instantly.

Price's wife was taken by helicopter to Renown Medical Center in Reno with non-life threatening injuries, said Douglas County Sheriff's Lt. Keith Logan.

She was in stable condition.

Mcintyre was also taken to Reno by helicopter where he also was in stable condition.
