The Carson City Symphony, conducted by David Bugli, will begin rehearsals on Wednesday, at 7:15 p.m., in the Carson High School band room, 1111 N. Saliman Road, Carson City. The rehearsals are for a performance on Feb. 25 at the Carson City Community Center.
The program will include "Concierto de Aranjuez" by Spanish composer, Joaquin Rodrigo, featuring guest soloist Ana Vidovic, guitar, led by Assistant Conductor, Eric Gault. Other works on the program are "A Festival Prelude" by Alfred Reed, "Pavane" by Gabriel Faure, and a piece by New York composer Bruce Craig Roter.
The symphony has openings or strings, percussion and possibly other instruments. Auditions are not required. For information, call the symphony at 883-4154.
