Scouts information featured at library

During February, the Douglas County Public Library in Minden is featuring a display by Boy Scout Troops 240 and 340 to promote outdoor adventure and fun with a purpose.


Boy Scouts of America celebrates 96 years of service during the month of February.


The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is "to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law."


The display features scouting badges, lanyards, masks, uniforms and information about how to join these local scouting organizations.
