n To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Snowshoe Thompson's initial mail run from Placerville to Genoa, events will occur March 11 in Hope Valley and Genoa. A morning cross country ski and snowshoe tour will take place at the Hope Valley Outdoor Center and a celebration of Snowshoe's life will take place at Genoa Town Hall later in the day. Page B1
