Advance tickets available for Savor the Flavor fundraiser

Soroptimist International of Carson Valley presents its 11th annual Savor the Flavor fundraiser from 6-9 p.m., March 4, at Genoa Lakes Golf Resort clubhouse (formerly known as Sierra Nevada Golf Ranch).

This is a yearly event celebrating food, wine, friends and microbrewery tasting. The evening will feature wines and microbrews donated by some of the area's finest wineries and distributors, as well as a food fair, silent auction and door prizes.

In addition, raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each, or five tickets for $20, for a chance to win 100 - $3 pulls on the Megabucks machine at the Carson Valley Inn. Included for the winner is a two-night stay at Carson Valley Inn and dinner for two at Michael's at the Inn. All proceeds from Savor the Flavor will be funneled back into the community support projects such as student scholarships, youth programs, assistance to families in need, preserving the environment and health-related projects.

Tickets for the event are $30 in advance or $40 at the door and are now available at Carson Valley Inn (front desk and gift shop), Carson Valley Market, chamber of commerce, Tumblewind, Nevada State Bank (Minden and Gardnerville branches), Stewart Title (Minden), World Gym, Western Title, A Gourmet Sewing Company, Jen's Optical House, Laxague Feed & Supply, Artistic Viewpoints Gallery, Aloha Discount Liquor, Genoa Lakes Golf Resort, Deb Howard and Co. in So. Lake Tahoe, Dart Liquors in So. Lake Tahoe, or any Soroptimist member.
