The Family Support Council of Douglas County is offering three parenting classes beginning in January. Classes are free, with a $10 materials fee, and are available to interested parents from all areas.
Free on-site baby-sitting is available. The support council is located at 1255 Waterloo Lane, Suite A, Gardnerville.

Parenting young children
The Family Support Council of Douglas County is sponsoring a parenting class titled "Parenting Young children," for parents of children aged 0-5 years. Classes begin Jan. 26, and run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for seven weeks, on Thursdays.
Parenting class
The Family Support Council of Douglas County is sponsoring a parenting class titled "Effective Parenting," for parents of adolescents aged 6-12 years. Classes begin Jan. 24, and run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for seven weeks, on Tuesdays.
Parenting teenagers class
The Family Support Council is sponsoring a parenting class titled "How to Survive Your Teenager," for parents of teens. Classes begin Jan. 25, and run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for seven weeks, on Wednesdays.
