The Nevada Caregiver Support Center and the Douglas County Senior Center will be conducting a workshop for family caregivers of persons with dementia entitled "Coping with Challenging Behaviors."
The workshop will take place on Jan. 31 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Douglas County Senior Center, Meadow Lane in Gardnerville.
The workshop is designed for professional and family caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's disease or related memory challenges.
Strategies for managing behaviors such as wandering, repetitive questions and statements and angry outbursts will be discussed. Snacks will be provided.
The State of Nevada Division for Aging Services will be funding this important meeting.
The important and informative workshop is offered at no charge to family caregivers and $10 to professional caregivers.
