"Melissa Dru" continues in the Carson Valley Inn's Cabaret Lounge through Sunday, "The Kid & Nic" returns Monday through Feb. 5, "The BB Drifters Revue" returns Feb. 7-12, and various groups entertain on Monday nights. Carson Valley Inn Cabaret Lounge entertainment is presented with no cover and no minimum.
"Melissa Dru" entertains with top 40, classic rock and pop music. The band's style and stage presence appeals to a wide range of audiences. The quartet consists of Melissa Dru on vocals, rhythm guitar and percussion, Mick Hampson on vocals and guitar, Jim Haase on keyboards and vocals, and Nathan Rodney on drums and vocals. Forty-five minute shows are at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday.
"The Kid and Nic" show is timeless music designed to please and entertain music lovers of every generation. Jazz, blues, swing, Latin, and pop are all represented in this fun-loving, energetic, and diverse musical review. "The Kid and Nic" - and their band - take their audiences on a trip across the landscape of American music and comedy. By the end of the show, you'll think you caught part of a vaudeville act, maybe even a glimpse of a Broadway show, and you will know you enjoyed some absolutely superb musical entertainment. Forty-five minute shows are at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday.
Before the advent of the "Motown Sound," The Drifters held America and the world in the palm of their hands with a stirring mixture of street corner doo-wop and gospel. With their hits including "Under The Boardwalk," "On Broadway," "Save The Last Dance For Me," "Up On The Roof" and "This Magic Moment," The Drifters served to link 50s rhythm & blues with 60s soul music. Keeping the sound alive, "The BB Drifters Revue" lands at Carson Valley Inn with one hour shows nightly starting at 7, 8:30, 10 and 11:30 p.m.
Upcoming Monday night entertainment in the Cabaret Lounge includes "Gary and Lin" on Jan. 30, "George Pickard" on Feb. 6 and "The Gardners" on Feb. 13. Monday night entertainment sets are also at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.
Sports action is always plentiful at the Carson Valley Inn with four plasma screens and a giant pull down screen in the Cabaret Lounge plus additional TVs in the casino and in P.J.'s Pub. Café Cabaret in the Cabaret Lounge will be open on Super Bowl Sunday with free prize drawings plus $1.25 draft beer and $1.75 giant armchair munchies.
