For the last five years, Ranchos resident Denise Anderson has provided non-genetically engineered whole-food supplements through her home-based business, Innovative Health Solutions.
Anderson offers a variety of natural products designed to help increase nutrient absorption and rid the body of toxins. Her two most popular products are 100 percent stabilized rice solubles (Risotriene) and 7 Essentials.
According to Anderson, Life Solubles is 100 percent rice, organically grown and pesticide-free. It is stabilized and concentrated using a patented cold-extrusion process, unlike other rice bran products. This process maintains the nutrients and over 100 anti-oxidants vital to good health.
Anderson has this to say about her products:
"7 Essentials addresses the seven nutrient groups found most lacking in the American diet today. It includes enzymes, coenzymes (organic vitamins), cofactors (ionic and trace minerals) necessary for enzymes to function properly, whey protein (not a milk product as casein and lactose has been removed) that is 100 percent absorbed by the body and is essential for the manufacture of hormones, antibodies, energy, enzymes, tissues and proper pH balance, essential oils keep cell membranes healthy, aid in the creation of hormones, and help the body rid itself of toxins, fiber (helps reduce the risks of many cancers, helps lower cholesterol, helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease), and probiotics that support optimal functioning of the immune system."

Jethro's to host a "Super" party
If you're looking for something fun to do on Superbowl Sunday, head over to Jethro's Oven and Grill in the Tillman Plaza. That morning they'll feature breakfast specials, which include eggs benedict and corned beef hash. Once the game starts, there will be food and drink specials, in addition to a free buffet featuring their famous ribs, chicken and hot dogs.
Dave, the owner, also told me that they run a free prize board for the first 100 people who sign up. Each time there is a score change, prizes are awarded. With 20 televisions (including 6 plasma) throughout the restaurant, "Every seat is a good seat," said Dave. "It's a fun party."
So whether you're rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Seattle Seahawks, the party at Jethro's is sure to be a blast.
