Thanks for attending dinner

We want to thank all those who attended the Douglas County Democratic Central Committee's "Turn Nevada Blue" dinner last Saturday night at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden. The capacity crowd came from Carson City, Nye, Storey, Lyon, Washoe, Clark and Douglas counties. Democrats, Republicans and Independents came to meet, greet and hear from seven candidates: Jack Carter, Jill Derby, Dina Titus, Kate Marshall, Kim Wallin, Catherine Cortez-Masto and JoEtta Brown. Jim Gibson was supposed to attend, but we were told at the last minute that he could not make it, even though some of his Northern Nevada supporters did. This was an event that all Nevadans can be proud of.

Again, thank you to everyone who came out and supported this successful fundraiser through silent auction donations and/or your hard work. All profits will be used to support Democratic candidates who are running in the 2006 elections. It will happen again, and be bigger and better.
