Origami will be featured at the Douglas County Public Library in Minden on Monday at 6:45 p.m. Origami will be featured at the Douglas County Public Library in Zephyr Cove on Aug. 3 at 1 p.m.
Dennis Little has shared his hobby of Japanese paper folding for many years at the library. He will tell the history of origami and share many of his projects. During past programs, fish, Olympic medals, cranes, boxes and many more items have been made. Come for an enjoyable hour learning about this ancient craft. Children and adults are welcome. Parents may help younger children with their projects.
n Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales is the theme for the 2006 Summer Reading Program for children at the Douglas County Public Library. There is still time to register and finish the program. The library is located at 1625 Library Lane in Minden. For more information call 782-9841.
