An artist's reception for Howard Rees, a plein-air painter from Amador City, will take place 5-7 p.m. Aug. 2 at Artistic Viewpoints Gallery and Studio.
A workshop is offered Aug. 3-6. Guest artist Rees will be going on location to paint and then bring the class back to the studio to finish work and critique each day. The cost is $325 for the workshop.
Artistic Viewpoints is located at 1368 Highway 395 in Gardnerville.
