Sporting clay competition coming

The Nevada State Sporting Clay Competition will be Aug. 9-13. This event is open to the public. For members of the National Sporting Clay Association this is a sanctioned event. For non-members there is a Hunter Class entry. Registration is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 9-11 during the preliminaries and 7 a.m. to noon the morning of the main event Aug. 12. Cost for 100 Birds Saturday and Sunday is $150.


Saturday First flight shoot begins 9 a.m. to noon, 100 Bird main event; 50 Bird 5-stand; 100 Bird FITASC. Free lunch for all shooters. Second flight 1-4 p.m. Dinner at Carson Valley Inn in Minden, cost $25 per person.


Sunday First flight shoot begins 9 a.m. to noon, 100 Bird main event; 50 Bird 5-stand. Free lunch for all shooters. Second flight 1-4 p.m. 100 Bird main event; 50 Bird 5-stand. Shoot offs for main event 5-6 p.m.


The event is open to 200 shooters and there is still room. Register soon.
