The Washoe County Coroner's Office has delayed making a definitive finding in the cause of death of two Carson Valley teenagers found in the water of Lake Tahoe Saturday.

The coroner will wait for the toxicology results, which are expected in six to eight weeks, before making a final determination.

Timothy Coleman and Alex Haas, both 19, died sometime Friday or Saturday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators speculated the teenagers went to Lake Tahoe Friday, because their gear was wet from Friday evening's downpour.

Coleman's body was found along the shoreline Saturday afternoon. Haas was found 30 feet out from shore in about eight feet of water.

Both teens were involved in sports at Douglas High with Haas playing for both the Tiger soccer and golf teams and Coleman receiving all-league and all-region accolades as a punter for the Tiger football team.
