An autopsy to determine what killed two Carson Valley teens at Lake Tahoe is scheduled for today.
Timothy Coleman and Alexander Haas, both 19, were killed sometime Friday or Saturday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators speculated the teenagers went to Lake Tahoe on Friday, because their gear was wet from Friday evening's downpour.
Coleman's body was found along the shoreline Saturday afternoon. Haas was found 30 feet out from shore in about 8 feet of water.
Sgt. Tom Mezzetta said this morning that lightning from the storm is one of the things the coroner will be considering when examining the bodies.
There is also speculation that the two might have been rock diving and one of the teens died trying to save the other.
"The autopsy will tell," Mezzetta said.
The chance for thunderstorms this afternoon has decreased as has the prdicted high temperature. The high temperature today should hit the mid-90s with lows dropping back into the 50s.
A candidates' platform is set for 1 p.m. today in the Douglas County commission chambers at 1616 8th Street in Minden for District 4 Commission and Assembly District 39 races.
