With the news that autopsy results will be delayed 6-8 weeks, those seeking to know why two Carson Valley teens died at Lake Tahoe are left with speculation.

An authoritative source has revealed that lightning is an unlikely cause of the deaths of Timothy Coleman and Alex Haas.

Coleman and Haas' peers are saying that one was injured while rock diving and the other tried to save him.

That story has not been traced back to its source.

The R-C will continue to pursue the story and post new information as it comes in.

The National Weather Service is predicting today's high temperature will approach 99 and will climb back into the 100s on Wednesday. However, the report offers some hope of a cooling trend starting Friday. The predicted temperatures will drop back to 90 degrees. A slight chance of thunderstorms continues to linger in the forecast.
