Predicted high winds and low humidity have prompted the National Weather Service to issue a red flag fire warning.
The warning is in effect until 9 p.m. today, which should see winds gusting to 31 mph. On Sunday, the warning will be in effect from noon to 7 p.m. with winds ranging from 17 to 33 mph through the day and night.
The winds aren't expected to die down until Monday night.
Residents are warned to be particularly careful with open flames, as a spark could ignite tinder dry brush and high winds fan the flames into a wildfire.
