Today is the last day the Gardnerville Arby's will remain open in preparation for the opening of a new store in Minden.
Owner Dennis McDuffee said the new Arby's will open on June 28.
Work on the new building began in December.
However, a variety of issues delayed completion of the building by the original April 1 date.
The old Arby's will be demolished to make way for expansion of the Gardnerville Raley's.
The franchise has been located next to Raley's since 1983.
Founded in 1964, Arby's is a quick service restaurant specializing in deli-style sandwiches.
The Fort Lauderdale-based company includes more than 3,450 franchised restaurants in 48 states and four countries.
