"Creature Feature" is the theme for the summer reading program for teens at the Douglas County Public Library. Come and have a fun summer at the library. In conjunction with the reading program, the library is having an art contest during the month of July. Teens 13-18 may draw, paint, or photograph any "creature" and enter to win a gift certificate at Borders Books.

Creatures are anything with paws, claws, scales and/or tails. Your entry must be no larger than 8 by 10 inches and may not be considered offensive. All entries will be on display in the library, and will be returned to the artist after the contest. Enter as many times as you wish. Deadline for entries is July 31.

The Douglas County public libraries are located at 1625 Library Lane in Minden, and 233 Warrior Way in Zephyr Cove. For more information call either library at 782-9841 or 588-6411.
