Foothill Road reopened this morning as firefighters reinforce fire lines and mop up a 30-acre fire about halfway up Jobs Peak.

Firefighters expect to get the line completed by 6 p.m. today and to have the fire under control by 6 p.m. Monday.

Units from the U.S. Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, East Fork Fire & Paramedic Districts, Reno Fire Department and the California Department of Forestry are fighting the fire.

Cooler temperatures overnight slowed the rate of spread of the fire, which was first reported to be 30 acres. No structures are presently threatened.. The Faye-Luther Trailhead is closed. No injuries have been reported as a result of fighting the fire.

After examining the area of the blaze, firefighters have revised their estimate of the fire damage back down to 30 acres, due to the amount of unburned vegetation inside the fire's perimeter.
