Residents of the eastern Sierra-Yosemite region will have an opportunity to enjoy the music of award-winning Utah singer-songwriter Brenn Hill when the Red Cliffs recording artist returns to Bridgeport, Calif., for his fifth consecutive annual concert appearance at the Bridgeport Ranch Barns and Terrace on Sunday. Hill's solo acoustic performance will feature material from Hill's five-album catalog and spotlight songs from his current Red Cliffs Press CD, "Endangered."

Hill, who is 30 years old and lives in Hooper, Utah, has been called "the future of cowboy music." Billboard magazine says, "Hill is a bridge between western music's best traditions and the future of the genre as cowboys and cowboy singers evolve with the changing times."

Hill's career is on the move. He has five albums and numerous music industry awards and accolades to his credit. In 2004 Hill was named Male Vocalist of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists at the association's annual celebration in Fort Worth, Texas. In 2005 Hill had three AWA nominations: Album of the Year for "Endangered"; Song of the Year for "Buckaroo Tattoo"; and repeat recognition in the Top Male Vocalist category. In the past, Hill has been named "Rising Star" by both the Western Music Association and the Academy of Western Artists. His "Trail Through Yesterday" album was voted 2001 Album of the Year by the AWA.

"Endangered" contains 14 songs that speak boldly of life in the modern west, songs punctuated by crisp cinematic imagery and confident melodies. "Endangered" rose to No. 31 nationally on the Americana music chart late in 2004.

The first single from the CD, Buckaroo Tattoo, reached No.17 on the Texas Music Chart and stayed inside the chart's Top Twenty for eight weeks.

Buckaroo Tattoo was also the No. 32 most-played single on the Texas Music Chart for 2004. In April, 2005, Pickup Truck Café, the second single from "Endangered" became Brenn's first Top Fifteen single in Texas.

Bridgeport Ranch Barns and Terrace is located at 68 Twin Lakes Road in Bridgeport, Calif. Hill's concert begins at 8 p.m. on July 2.
