Staff Reports
Kingsbury Grade reopened 6 p.m. Saturday night after crews worked two 14-hour days to clear a potential land slide.
Nevada Department of Transportation spokesman Fred Hinners said the work was completed faster than expected.
"We had good cooperation between the contractor, A&K Earthmovers, and our staff," he said.
Hinners said A&K provided a track hoe under a $100,000 contract with the state that was issued last week and the state provided the trucks.
Kingsbury was closed 9 a.m. Wednesday with little warning after state engineers determined a slide could occur.
