Antiques abound in Genoa Saturday and Sunday for the 13th annual "twice yearly" antique show and sale. You never know what you are going to find, anything is possible with dealers coming from around the West.
Quality vintage antiques and collectibles, as well as furniture and vintage clothing will be available for sale. The April antique show and sale has been going strong for 13 years and helps raise funds for the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra so they can continue to offer concerts to the public free of charge. This event will feature antique appraisals, both Saturday and Sunday. Appraisals are $5 per item with no limit as to how many items you bring. Furniture can be appraised from good pictures.
Collectors attending this show will discover a wide selection of quality merchandise from the Victorian period to the 1950s. These items will include glass, jewelry, buttons, primitives, Americana, dolls and more.
Admission is $1.50 and parking is free. The show is held in the Genoa Town Hall. Times are 10 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. For information, visit the Web site: www.genoaevents.com or call 782-4951.
