Spring is approaching and it is time for the Garden Club to get back into action. The group is open to everyone interested in gardening or learning about digging in the soil. There are three master gardeners involved in the club: Howard and Harriet Althouse and Ingrid Texeira. All worked this past fall improving the landscaping around the Douglas County Senior Center in Gardnerville by setting out flower beds.

The Garden Club yearly schedule has been put into place. On April 24, 10 a.m. in the ceramic room at Douglas County Senior Center the subject is "Container Gardening" and the handout will be "Manure Tea Recipe for Plants." Althouse will discuss raising patio tomatoes.

Garden Club meetings will be the fourth Monday of each month at the senior center in Gardnerville at 10 a.m.
