The Western Nevada Cattlewomen are celebrating their 50th year and are extending a warm invitation to the community to attend their annual Spring Dinner and Dance, starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, at the CVIC Hall in Minden. The cost is $15 per person, $7 per child ages 4-12 and free for children 3 and younger.
Tickets will be available at the door or to reserve you seat for the steak dinner in advance, call Rika McKinney at 265-2271 as soon as possible.
There will be dancing to live music by "Buffalo County," and a live and silent auction plus raffle prizes and a skit is planned on "Bio-diesel fuel" by seven students from the Douglas High School Ag Department.
The dinner/dance is the organization's biggest fundraiser of the year to support its scholarship program. This year's winning applicant will be announced during the evening as well as the selection for "Beef Business of the Year."
