The Daughters of Norway Queen Maud Lodge No. 42 will meet 6 p.m. May 18 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Saliman and Highway 50, Carson City.
Syttende Mai or the 17th of May, Norway's Constitution Day, the 101st anniversary of independence from Sweden, will be celebrated. Joyce Koropchak will give a presentation about the children's book written by Princess Martha Louise, "Why Kings and Queens Don't Wear Crowns."
Women of Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic heritage or who are married or have been married to a Norwegian are invited to join.
