The '50s Rockathon Car Show and car-related swap meet will be presented by the Town of Gardnerville and Valley Cruisers Car Club on Saturday.
The event that will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Heritage Park in Gardnerville features a hobby car show, with street rods, classics, muscle cars, antiques, sports cars, kit cars, trucks, low riders - just about every kind of car.
"Any year and any condition ... if you can drive it," said car show officials.
There is a limit of 100 automobiles. The Valley Cruisers will sell hot dogs, cold drinks and chips from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The swap meet will offer car-related parts and accessories.
Bring your chairs, blankets and the family to enjoy music by Time Warp, see some great looking cars and buy used car parts.
Car reservations are $10 and can be made by calling Diana Lombard at 265-3654. Swap meet space is also $10 and can be reserved by calling Charles Hill at 265-0548. For general information, call the Town of Gardnerville at 782-7134.
