The Carson Valley Art Association Mini Show took place May 16 with 52 entries at the East Fork Gallery in The Record-Courier Center on Highway 395. The exhibit will be on display through July 18 and many have already been sold. The public is invited to come and view these miniature original paintings.

During the up-coming Carson Valley Days celebration in Minden/Gardnerville, on Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., CVAA members will be receiving paintings to be on display from June 9 through June 11 at the CVIC Hall in Minden. All paintings will be for sale. The public is welcome to enter the show. Call Beth Bosmans for details 782-5606.
An artist reception will be held for the show on Friday in the CVIC Hall 6-8 p.m.
A trip to the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno is planned for June 20. Between 9-9:15 a.m., CVAA members will meet at the Ironwood Center and carpool for a trip to the museum. They will be met by a museum docent who will take them on a tour of the exhibit at 10:30 a.m.
Afterwards, the group will remain and eat at the tables reserved for them in the café area. They will be viewing the Paxton Collection, a selection of contemporary and historical artworks by Larry Bell, Thomas Hart Benton, Fritz Scholder, Nathan Oliveira and Peter Hurd.

The CVAA June meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. June 30 in the Douglas County Public Library in Minden off County Road. A demonstrator will do a presention and refreshments will be served.
