Douglas High grads to wed

Aimee Smith and James Fikkers are pleased to announce their engagement. The couple plan to marry in Minden Park, Sept. 22, 2007.

The prospective bride is the daughter of Crystal Smith of Gardnerville and Greg Smith of Reno. She is a 2001 Douglas High School graduate and will graduate Western Nevada Community College to pursue a career in elementary education. She is employed by Andrea K. Weed, D.O. in Carson City as a receptionist.

The future groom is the son of Mary King and John Fikkers, both of Carson City. He is a 1997 graduate of Douglas High School with further education in the Army. He is currently employed by the State of Nevada in Carson City.
