Douglas/Carson high grads to marry

Rachel Halverson and Wesley Deputy, both of Carson City, have announced their wedding date of Nov. 25 to take place 3 p.m. at the CVIC Hall on Esmeralda Avenue in Minden.

The bride-to-be, daughter of Phil and Robbie Halverson of Carson City, is a 1999 graduate of Carson High School. She is currently employed by Nevada Vision Group as an optician.

The future groom, son of Tom and Marti Deputy of Carson City, was a 1996 graduate of Douglas High School. He is currently employed by Scruples at the Village as an optician.

The ceremony will be performed by J. B. McIntyre. Serena Ballard of Reno, best friend of the bride, will be the matron of honor with Samantha Deputy, sister of the bridegroom, Sarah Rollins and Vanessa Hagewood, friends of the future bride, as her attendants. The matron of honor's daughter, Sierra Ballard will be the flower girl with Richard Romero as the ring bearer. The best man will be Bill Blumenthal with Chris Fields, Josh Shehorn and Charles Untereiner as groomsmen.


There will be a reception following the ceremony for 125 guests at the CVIC Hall. The couple will leave for Florida and take a honeymoon cruise Dec. 3-10.
