The Carson Valley Middle School boys' basketball teams raced out of the gates with both the seventh- and eighth-grade squads winning their first three games.
The Carson Valley seventh-graders beat up on Fallon 41-4 to open the year as Connor Hughes scored seven points and Adrian Duenas, Marco Gooding and Matt Wylie each scored six.
Wylie scored 14 and Nick Maestretti added seven in a 37-16 win over Alder Creek and the Tigers picked up a 45-28 win over Eagle Valley as Wylie scored 14, Maestretti scored 12, Hughes put up seven and Noah Thew scored six.
In eighth-grade action, Carson Valley beat Fallon 42-31 to open the year as Austin Neddenriep scored 13 points and hauled in nine rebounds and Garrett Getty and Kameron VanWinkle each scored nine points. Matt Thomas added seven points.
Carson Valley beat Alder Creek 34-24 as Neddenriep scored 14, Getty added 11 and Aaron Allen put up six. Getty also had eight rebounds.
Neddenriep had 19 points in a 44-41 win over Eagle Valley, which was previously unbeaten and the defending league champions as seventh-graders.
Getty scored eight points and Matt Williams and Chris Downs each had six points. Neddenriep also had eight rebounds.
