The holidays are upon us and mixed feelings tend to bombard many who are away from home or those who had lost a loved one. The feeling of loneliness can easily steer a person into despair and emptiness, feeling home alone.
The fact of the matter is if you had asked Christ to come into your life, you are not alone and you will never be alone. Jesus said in John 14:18, " I will not leave you as orphans..." And He said in Hebrews 13:5, "... I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you."
Jesus was never alone. Even when He left his heavenly home to come to dwell among us, He was never alone. He kept in constant contact with His heavenly Father and the communion and comfort He had allowed Him to live a victorious life no matter the feelings He experienced.
The interesting thing about "feelings" is that "feelings" come and go. And because they come and go, people should not base their life on feelings. If people did that many of us might not get up and go to work morning.
Feelings are God-given emotions and they help us to be sensitive to our circumstances and surroundings. Primarily they are built on relationships and "relationships are everything." If mankind has a living, loving relationship with his Creator, mankind will have a living, loving relationship with one another. And if mankind has a living, loving relationship with one another, truly no one is home alone.
