Smith Valley crushed the hosting Coleville Wolves by a final score of 50-0.
The game, which represented the first league contest for each team, ended with 1:26 remaining due to the 45-point mercy rule.
The Wolves were only able to muster 57 total yards in offense against a very big and physical Smith Valley team featuring 12 seniors.
Matt Carothers led Coleville with 12 yards rushing while Jason Peters was held to only six yards on the ground.
Peters completed 7 of 12 passes for an additional 37 yards. Trevor Anderson led in receiving with 19 yards.
Defensively, Coleville was led by Carothers with one solo and 21 assists.
Anderson played extremely well on defense, collecting 10 solos, seven assists and one interception.
Ben Figueroa had two solos and six assists and Sean Sherlock added one solo with eight assists.
"Considering we were totally dominated on both sides of the ball and physically overmatched at each position, there were some positives we can build on," Coleville coach Will Sandy said. "We continued to play hard throughout the game and I thought we executed pretty well on defense."
Coleville continues league play with a Friday night game at Pyramid Lake. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
