The Douglas girls' soccer team put everything together for a 6-1 win over North Valleys Tuesday afternoon.
Morgan LeFever scored three goals, moving within one of overtaking fourth-place Hannah Sullivan on the career goals list for both the state 4A and the school and within nine of breaking the state and school record of 56 (Douglas' Julia Spaulding, 1997-1999).
Meanwhile, the Douglas defense of Nicole Didero, Allison Andraski, Marisa Bertolone-Smith, Kristina Dantin, Lisa Christen and Jessi Chitwood turned in a solid effort, allowing North Valleys only one real shot on net during the game.
Chitwood went down early in the game with what appeared to be a leg injury.
Douglas put together a number of beatiful attacks on the North Valleys' net, starting right from the opening whistle.
The Tigers played the kickoff deep into the North Valleys' end and LeFever took a cross from Meghan Emerson to open the scoring for the day just 45 seconds into the contest.
Less than five minutes later, LeFever crossed the ball in to Ally Freitas, who chipped the ball to the far post where Katie Nalder was waiting to put it in, making the score 2-0.
In the 10th minute, Delaney Battista put an entry pass in to LeFever, who made a long run, weaving through three Panther defenders before sending a rocket in just below the crossbar.
North Valleys got a goal on a slight breakdown in the 25th minute, but Douglas wasn't finished yet.
Michelle Day scored on another Emerson assist and LeFever scored on another long run in the 61st minute.
Douglas wrapped up the scoring in the 65th minute when Dany Heidt placed the ball in to LeFever, who found Freitas wide-open in front of the net. Freitas received the pass and hammered it home for the 6-1 lead.
Rachel Van Roy, Heidt, Battista and Christen all had solid games in the middle.
Douglas takes on No. 6 South Tahoe Saturday at Douglas at 3 p.m.

Douglas trounced the Panthers 11-0 Tuesday night at Douglas.
The Tigers had 34 shots on goal while not yielding any on the other end.
Douglas took a 6-0 halftime lead with three goals from Amanda Ferraro, two from C.J. Baumgartner and one from Becca Neuffer.
Sage Lyons and Nicole Duster each earned assists.
Ferraro scored her fourth after being awarded a penalty kick in the second half.
The foul was called following a great play by Douglas as Kelsey Conklin stopped an attack by passing the ball back to goalie Cami Arend. Arend lined the ball up the field and Baumgartner headed it from midfield to Ashley Hill on the wing.
Hill crossed the ball right in front of the goal and a North Valleys'defender directed the ball with her hand, resulting in the penalty kick.
Michelle Gibbons, Breanna Norvell, Duster and Jillian Brune each had goals in the second half and Lyons, Sara Draper each had assists while Hill had two assists.
Douglas is now 8-3 on the year and will seek revenge at 11 a.m. Saturday against South Tahoe after a close loss last month.
